What is PERILL Team Diagnostics?

Over more than 45 years, Professor David Clutterbuck researched and developed best practices in human resource and organisational management. In doing so, he identified six key factors that influence team performance. PERILL Team Diagnostics provides a framework for understanding and revealing these factors within a complex and constantly changing environment.

PERILL stands for:

  • Purpose & Motivation (Zweck & Motivation)
  • External Processes (External Processes, Systems & Structures)
  • Relationships
  • Internal Processes (Internal processes, systems & structures)
  • Learning
  • Leadership

How does PERILL Team Diagnostics work?

PERILL Team Diagnostics uses a structured online questionnaire that all team members complete. There are two versions of the questionnaire to meet different needs:

  • Full version: Contains 120 questions and provides a comprehensive analysis of the team. It takes about 30 minutes to complete.
  • Lite version: Contains 30 questions for a quick assessment. It takes about 15 minutes to complete.

The responses are evaluated anonymously and provide a detailed picture of your team’s strengths and areas for development. The PERILL algorithms reveal connections between the various elements of the team system, providing deeper insights into team dynamics.
